Spring is here?

Spring must be here. Our first snow drops for 2009.
Winter 2009 Getting a new year started...
SEEDLINGS - A gardening class for children ages 6-12, Saturdays, 10 a.m. to noon. The classroom is up and running and can be visited after Mass. Classroom activities will include: Why are plants important? Let’s make DIRT!, North South East West, Planting seeds for spring, Repotting house plants, Painting pots, Forcing flower bulbs,. Bring something cool to plant in. A snack relating to the day’s lesson is provided. What we need: new plastic garbage can with lid, any old gardening tools, gardening gloves, help with refurbishing old gardening tools (for kids to use), people to assist in classroom weekly or occasionally to work one on one with kids & assisting in activities, supplies or someone to prepare a simple healthy snack each week for kids. Information about our Rain Garden

Before Water Garden work ......................Work in progress

Finished work on the new Water Garden. This is a difficult spot on north side of church with a lot of water coming off the church roof. The garden was designed to deal with the water issue.
