The Saint Nicholas Children's Choir
Another integral aspect in the tradition of musical excellence at St. George's is the St. Nicholas Children's Choir. Under the direction of Brian Hoffman, the choir meets weekly for voice and music theory training. With 15 Children enrolled in the Royal School of Church Music's "Voice For Life Program", the choir is an excellent educational tool for training children in the classical realm to hopefully be "choristers for life". Staples of their repertoire include compositions by composers such as: Bach, Handel, Mozart, Brahms, Lenel, as well as a mass setting Missa Brevis No. 4, written especially for the choir by their director.
The St. Nicholas Choir rehearses every Thursday from 4:30-6:30 and all children ages 6-12 are welcome to audition.
